Dry Brush Nail Art with Zoya Summer

Gambar
Press Sample Obviously, the Zoya Summer collection was bright cremes in a rainbow palette. Something about the shades made me think of pop art. So that's what I did. I also thought of doing tie dye art, but I wanted more contrast, just like these fun colors.  But then, we were going through a heat wave and I did not have the oomph to do sophisticated nail art or super duper line work, so I went with the easiest art I could think of.    So when I sat down, I was going to do waves of each color outlined in black. Then I was like ughhh, that sounds like it will take me forever. Then I was like hmmm, what about a simple dry brush over white? WAIT, let's amp this up. What about a dry brush over a sheer glitter? YUP.   Like I said, originally I was going to do this over a white cream. But lately I’m so into the sheer glitters and nail art over that like I did with my Fourth of July Popsicles . I swear Zoya Eclipse sat in a box since it came out in summer 2020 and I...

Zoya Summer Palette, Summer 2022

Gambar
Press Sample Hi all! So this collection isn't really a normal Zoya collection. I noticed they've been very into palettes. I almost did not request this one because it's "curated" meaning that it is old colors put together as a new "collection." I have 3/6 but honestly was so intrigued with a full-coverage yellow, I decided to request it! Let's see if it holds up!   I did way too much research to find out when these colors originally released. Zoya used to list it on their site, but they are no longer there.  Ali Neon : 3 coats plus top coat. "An ultra-bright warm, medium neon pink cream." This came out all the way in Summer 2009, part of the La-Di-Da collection! You can probably get away with two coats but I have long opaque nails right now, so I did three for photos. In person, I would only do two coats. This super neon pink dries matte  so you’ll need some topcoat for shine.  Avoid getting this on your cuticle when you are removing your...

Duri Below Zero, Swatches and Review

Gambar
Gift Well, it took over a year, but I finally finished swatching the three Duri collections a friend sent me as a gift. It took so long because there was no obligation since these were not sent from the company (but hey, they are more than welcome to send me!). So I found myself swatching PR and then doing art for myself. But, better late than never. Nail polish is never one season, so I'm sharing a winter collection in the summer! Bunny Slope : 3 coats plus top coat. I absolutely love this color. I’ve actually worn it probably a dozen times. It’s perfect as a base for nail art or just as a palate cleanser. It has a nice yellow undertone so that it’s not a stark white and it’s totally wearable year-round. I just love it. I know it looks streaky, but it’s not as much in person.   Let It Snow : 3 coats. These type of grays sort of give me zombie hands. I have shared that before with basically every gray that is in this shade of grey. It pulls out all the red undertones in my s...
