KBShimmer Grand Finale, April Polish Pickup

Gambar
Press sample Another Polish Pickup for you! And look how fun--a polish inspired by the chemicals that create colors of fireworks. I think a lot of people will go nuts for this purple polish, so let's get to all the details! And the scrub is just divine. Sweet Sangria Hand & Body Scrub - $10.00 – No Cap . Sweet Sangria is a sweet, fruity blend as refreshing as a glass of sangria loaded with seasonal produce. Sweet grape notes are brightened by a hint of tart berry. Deep wine notes amplify hints of orange, black plum, and pineapple for a blend that will have you envisioning relaxing days laughing with family and friends . This is yummm. I love a fruity scent. I would love this in a cuticle oil. It is so refreshing and yummy but a bit deep with the wine notes. Love it. KBShimmer Grand Finale Nail Polish - $11 – No Cap . Grand Finale is a nod to my favorite purple fireworks. A soft, red-leaning violet base is filled with sparkling holo glow flakes. A near metallic-like shi

Stella Chroma The Holo-gens, April Polish Pickup

Press Sample  The theme for Polish Pickup in April is the Periodic Table. All right then, lol. You know, science is cool and fun, so when I saw the stunning polish from Stella Chroma, I was like whatever the inspiration, I am here for it. Let’s check it out!  Lavender Essential Oil scented emulsified sugar scrub - We chose the element of relaxation for our scrub this month (Oh, that was bad, wasn't it?) We're scenting our buttery, luxe sugar scrub with pure lavender essential oil. Calming and relaxing. This scent isn't fakey floral. $6.50 for 2.5 oz. No cap. I love a simple scent. Lavender is one of my favorite oil scents because it truly is relaxing and great for headaches. So I really like how fresh this is yet calming. If you like lavender, you will love this and I’m glad to have a form of lavender in another way such as a sugar scrub. The Holo-gens - The halogens are a group of chemically related elements in the periodic table. I'll not go into greater detail so I d

Press Sample Hi everyone! I wanted to do a few St. Patrick’s Day nail designs because I had some ideas that just needed to be executed. What is more Saint Patrick’s Day than a three leaf clover or any clover for that matter so let’s check out my latest manicure. What actually prompted this manicure was the white crelly with rainbow glitter. I just wanted a reason to use it. And then of course I had to add some green in there because what is more Irish and green (of course with a little orange) Here are all the colors that I used: Green : Stella Chroma Fenway Cruelly : Painted Polish Chasing Rainbows (purchased) Stamping colors :  KBShimmer Papaya Don’t Preach, Sand By Me, Lime All Right, Pink or Swim Plate : Totally Negative 1 from Lina  I like the idea of doing the negative stamping with the rainbow colors and having that wonderful green cream shine through. Then I wanted to do complementary shamrocks

Purim Nail Art

Gambar
Press Sample Hi all! Purim is tonight! I try to do a Purim nail art whenever I can. Usually I'm like wow, is it already Purim. According to my blog, I haven't done one since 2017! Oh my I love how these came out ! I decided to go the party route, since Purim really is about the masquerade party! I knew I wanted to use gold because I associate Purim with gold for some reason. Then I wanted to do some stamping. There really isn't a Purim stamping plate. That would be cool. Can we get a Chanukah plate too while we are at it?! So I used some party-themed plates for this look.    I had dreams of multichrome stamping. I had such issues though. It worked when I tested it out and then looked kind of dull once I tried it on my nails. Like I always say, I will share the fails and the successes. These aren't entirely fails to me, but I wish it was a bit clearer. Also, my matte top coat got the dreaded white dots. Oh well! I used a combo of golds, black, and multichromes for this l

Reflective Rainbow Nail Art with KBShimmer

Press Sample Reflective polish is all the rage right now, so when I saw KBShimmer's new Lounging Around collection, I was like, I need to put many of these all together for one epic reflective rainbow. Oh and it's almost St. Patrick's Day aka rainbow nail art? PERFECT. So that's what you have today y'all. A giant reflective rainbow! My inspiration was literally me lining up the colors when they arrived and see just how rainbow-y they were. I knew I wanted to do a free-hand striped rainbow rather than a half circle because I knew it would not line up nicely on my nails. I started with a base of Harbor a Crush, which is a neon sky blue polish. I love that it is two coats and applies like a dream. Then I used a striping brush and just went to town, one color at a time on all ten nails. I know it looks like it took forever, but doing one color at a time makes it go quickly. And this is also why I did not want a perfect half circle. You can't go wrong with this.  Blu
