Sunflowers with Elevation Polish

Gambar
Nothing to Disclose Lately, I've been wearing the life out of my Elevations. It sort of makes me feel I could dwindle down much of my stash in favor of Elevations, but we digress. Let's discuss some new Elevations I got and my sunflowers! Sunflower Nail Art with Elevation Polish I began with a base of Limestone. This polish probably is good at 2 coats but it's so humid, I needed three coats to level it out. I then randomly dotted Small Batch Prototype Parinacota at the base of my nail. Parinacota isn't currently available as SBPs are a one month deal, but hopefully a similar color will come out in the future! Then I randomly brushed pedals with the new Icho Namiki from the Japanese collection. This is SO bright and you need to see it on its own, so swatches pending. Lastly, I used Yeti's Healing Vibes to create stems. Yeti's Healing Vibes is a charity polish that helps with the earthquakes in Nepal, so go ahead and grab it! Galaxy Dotticure with Constellation Water Decals

Gambar
Partial Press Sample I was in the mood for galaxies, and by fate, galaxy artwork popped on my Instagram feed and here's the result! And I wore it for a week! Galaxy Dotticure with Constellations Nail Art I love this water decal set. I chose to focus on the constellations but plan on using the zodiac sign for my upcoming birthday (which I'm pretending isn't happening. I'm not much on birthdays). First, I saw this photo on Instagram from an artist Elspeth Mclean. Her artwork has gone viral and it is super awesome for nail art! I saw this constellations and were blown away. I had to re-create it!  Photo Credit: Elspeth Mclean, Instagram I started with a base of Elevation Polish Yeti was a Shadow, which is a dark grey soft holographic polish. Then sticking with the blue, purple, and magenta base, I added larger dots first. Then the medium dots. Lastly, the smallest dots. The colors I used includes: Illamasqua Cameo, Illamasqua Noble, Illamasqua Jomina, Zoya Rock, Elevation

Daisy Nail Art with Red Dog Designs Flower Power with Cirque Colors

Gambar
Nothing to Disclose Continuing with the Spring Flowers theme, I decided that I wanted to pull out an old glitter made for me. I love daisy glitter! I wasn't in the mood for full on daisies, so I literally handpainted the glitter on some of my nails as accents! Daisy Nail Art with Red Dog Designs Flower Power with Cirque Colors I started with a base of OPI Don't Touch my Tutu--3 coats on my index and pinky, 4 on my other nails. I was in the mood for a squishy semi-sheer base! Then I used a special custom Gina made me a few years ago called Flower Power on my index and pinky. I was craving some daisy glitter and I love the one Gina made me. I didn't want a full glitter manicure so I mimicked the glitter on my other nails. Using Cirque Colors Cypress, Plur, and Chrysopoeia, I simply made dots to create the daisies. I finished it off with dots using Cirque Colors Lonesome George and Flash. Zoya Island Fun Collection Swatches and Comparisons

Gambar
Press Sample Ready for some delicious cremes? Today I have swatches of the new for summer 2015 Zoya Island Fun Collection. I already used these cremes in my doodle art HERE so here are the promised swatches! These cremes were all two coats and NO top coat because they dry super shiny. Let's see what Zoya has in store for this summer! And make sure you get to the bottom of the post where I compare this with other Zoya colors (you might be surprised!) Zoya Island Fun Collection Swatches and Comparisons Zoya Demetria: 2 coats. This is described as a poppy red and I have to agree! It is very red on me but it leans a bit orange (but you'll see below how it looks almost exact to another Zoya color). The formula was buttery and beautiful. Zoya Demetria Zoya Demetria Zoya Demetria Zoya Jace: 2 coats. This is a tropical green that is supposed to be more wearable but it pulls very yellow-green on me and kind of reminds me of pea soup. Another lovely formula. Zoya Jace Zoya Jace Zoya Ja

Orange Neon Ombre Stripes with Orly Nail Polish

Gambar
Nothing to Disclose  I have actually wanted to do something with these three nail polishes FOREVER! I've used each polish individually but I always looked at them as the perfect ombre/gradient. I love Orly nail polish and their Baked 2014 collection was almost perfection to me (and I've used two colors from that collection). Here was my solution to my orange neon predicament. Orange Neon Ombre Stripes with Orly Nail Polish  I started with a base of OPI My Vampire is Buff, which is a perfect neutral base. I used it because I actually ran out of My Boyfriend Scales Wall (yes I finished a bottle) and Vampire is Buff is less harsh.  Then starting from the cuticle, I did random horizontal stripes with a striping brush in the lightest color, Orly Tropical Pop. This is a yellow-orange creme neon polish. You can see that it's eye-searing. Next I used Orly Mayhem Mentality, which is a straight orange creme neon. I wore this alone once and I was blinded! Last, I used Orly Ablaze towa
