Hanukkah Penguins Nail Art

Gambar
Press Sample This year, Chanukah is super early! Last night, the 28th, was the first night. So I had a day off from Thanksgiving before turning around to make another huge meal. If you did not know, potato latkes are the main show for Chanukah. They are so tiring to make haha, but worth it! Anyway, I wanted to do some simple nail art for the holiday, and I knew immediately the Stella Chroma Vintage Holiday Glam Collection would be perfection.   Chanukah doesn’t have the iconic emblems like other holidays. There’s the dreidel and menorah. Well, I saw some Chanukah penguins holding dreidels, so that’s what inspired this! Not sure why penguins are for Chanukah but hey, I am making this a thing!     I used a bunch of blues for this look! Colors used: Base: Stella Chroma Blue Velvet Flake top coat: Stella Chroma Tangled Tinsel Blues Stella Chroma Raking It In, Jessica Cosmetics Thunderbird and Blueberry Creme Grey: Jessica Cosmetics Falcon  White and black creme   Here are some close-ups

KBShimmer Totally Stoked, December Polish Pickup

Gambar
Press Sample Today I have the polish pick up offering from KBShimmer. While red is not my favorite nail polish color to wear, this is up there as one of my favorite reds ever. Don’t miss out on this one which will be available on 12/3! Caffè Latte Hand & Body Sugar: $10 and no cap. This “ is inspired by those cozy cups of coffee. A dark, rich espresso scent is lightened by notes of cream and hints of sweet vanilla. A light beige in color, this sugar scrub echoes those artful lattes with a darker tan swirl .” This smells exactly as it says. A total café latte and a great burst of energy for the morning. Totally Stoked : 2-3 coats. Did 3 for depth but 2 is fine. “ Totally Stoked nail polish is a nod to those flickering fireplace flames. A warm red base shows off glowing hues of orange, gold, and ember. A scattering of holo flakes adds a touch of sparkle, echoing those sparks that float among the flames .” I am obsessed with this red. In fact, I actually have a pedicure of it an

Thanksgiving Nail Art: Autumn Foliage Stamping

Gambar
Press Sample Y'all, I have been wanting to do this manicure since September. Then I decided to hold off until October, when I broke my nail. Then 13 Days of Halloween happened. Now it's Thanksgiving. So I have had this on my nail art mat for MONTHS! Now I am finally wearing it! Here is my post from 6 weeks ago hahah, so you can see swatches of this gorgeous autumnal collection!  I fully intended on posting these on Wednesday, but of course life got in the way. I have been prepping Thanksgiving dinner and honestly didn’t sit down until late at night to do these nails. Of course, that is why they look a bit messy. I had been waiting to do this manicure for so long so it saddens me that I was kind of excited to do it and yet exhausted.     I wanted the colors to pop off the base, so I used a lighter base of Stella Chroma Deer Abby, which is an older polish but I love it. Then I used all four cremes from the fall collection and blended them on a leaf image and stamped in my nai

Leopard Print Pumpkin Nail Art

Gambar
Press Sample I love the idea of leopard pumpkins. I absolutely love to do leopard nail art and I am all about that Halloween and pumpkin season! I had purchased the two OPI polishes last December, just waiting to use this for this fall! I have already worn both as a pedicure, which is what made me grab one of them. The perfect orange! I am actually one as a plain manicure now!     I have a notepad in my phone with a list of nail art ideas and leopard print pumpkins have been on there for who knows how long. I finally decided after pushing them off for too long, I would use my two new favorite oranges and create one last pumpkin nail art for the season. I loved these so much, I wore them for a full week!   I used a bunch of colors from new Zoya and Jessica collections and 2 OPI oranges which were the only polishes I have purchased in the last 5 years! LOL. I loved all these new releases from Zoya and Jessica, so this worked out perfectly! Base: Jessica Cosmetics Moose Milk Oranges: OP

Pusheen Calendar Series: Thanksgiving Nail Art

Gambar
Press Sample Hello all! It's Pusheen time and although I had to simplify this look, I love the calendar and the beautiful Thanksgiving wreath. Where can I get such a gorgeous wreath like this? I love the bright pastel yet harvest colors and I really just dig the entire palette! I absolutely love this image for the calendar. I had to simplify the wreath to dots based on the colors of the wreath. The background is a bright yellow, but my camera kept pulling up this beige color. I assure you, my nail base is the actually color of the calendar! I love the pumpkins, the purple leaves, the acorns and the mushrooms. So cute!   As I mentioned above, I did not have time to do the wreath. Instead, I did dots with the colors of the wreath and I did a half-moon look. It is really cute against the bright yellow base. Speaking of that base, did you notice how it ate my grey on Pusheen. Once I added top coat, it like absorbed the base. Any ideas what that happened?!   I used a bunch of yellows a

Jessica Phenom But First, Coffee Nail Art Stamping

Gambar
Press Sample  I knew I had to do some coffee nail art the minute I got the But First, Coffee trio . Like really, how could I not? I loved the color palette and knew I wanted a light base. I had the perfect stamping plates, and although these are not stamping polishes, they did the job enough!   I had quite a few images with coffee patterns on it and went with something simple! Must Have Mocha is surprisingly sheer as a stamping polish despite the 2 coat coverage. But it did pop just enough off of Extra Foam Plz! to make it visible! I did some minimal reverse stamping with three of the nails. I wanted to incorporate Caramel Drizzles into the art some how. It is subtle, but I stamped the images and then painted them in with the shimmer polish. I think it adds that special touch! I added matte top coat to everything just because I felt it was more coffee-like.    COFFEE IS ALWAYS A GOOD IDEA! :) These are available now for $11.20 each. This is such a fun trio! I'll be back with thei

Jessica Phenom But First, Coffee Trio

Gambar
Press Sample When I first saw previews of the Jessica Phenom But First, Coffee trio, I was like  A COLLECTION AFTER MY OWN HEART! I love coffee and I especially love the color palette of this collection, so take a look at the most perfectly inspired collection! See, I was not kidding when I said I love coffee. I just bought this sweater and laughed when this trio came in because it matched! Yes, I even wear coffee! Caramel Drizzles : 3 coats. This is a soft golden caramel metallic color. This is a polish that can tend to have brushstrokes, so use as few swipes as possible. I love the background color because I was able to produce not that many brushstrokes.   Must Have Mocha : 2 coats plus Phenom Finale Shine. What a gorgeous mocha creme. The formula is buttery and amazing. I am a sucker for a gorgeous chocolate brown and this one is awesome. This is a pedicure color I love too!   Extra Foam Plz! : 2 coats plus Phenom Finale Shine. I just looooove colors like this and I love that this
