Watermelon Nail Art

 I mentioned I wanted to do watermelon art and here we are! Lately, I’ve been seeing so many cute nail art on Pinterest, even though I primarily use it for recipes 😂. Well this is another look that I saw and just had to recreate!


I have done so many nail arts with watermelon. Okay, turns out that I have done FIVE looks on my blog. I guess I do watermelons a lot.

 

 

I wanted it to look a little different from my previous looks and found another awesome art from Sonya Nails. But first, I wanted to show you my ridiculous process of picking colors, because I can't just pick one and call it a day.  



In the picture above, you were probably saying Michelle, these are the same color. But if you see below, some have way more yellow undertones, more green, more white. They are all different!


 

 The colors I ended up choosing are below. Luckily, I only chose from 4 beiges and three pinks haha.

  • Beige: Jessica Daylight
  • Pink: Jessica Cosmetics Dahlia
  • Dark Green: Stella Chroma Fenway (this one is being discontinued so grab it now!!)
  • Light Green: LEchat Dare to Wear Cucumber Mint
  • Black: Stella Chroma New Moon

 


I just love it. The striped nails remind me of watermelon rind. I opted for two watermelons nails and the rest as striped because I didn’t want plain green nails. That’s the great thing about inspiration! Change it up to what you want!

Press Sample Hello everyone! Today kicks off hopefully my 13 Days of Halloween nail art! Life is so hectic and I find I only do my nails once a week. A rare week, I do my nails twice. So the thought of 13 nail arts in one month sounded impossible. So this year, I’m doing some super quick and easy art! These might look very different from previous years with super intricate arts. Jessica Phenom But First, Coffee Nail Art Stamping

  Press Sample  I knew I had to do some coffee nail art the minute I got the But First, Coffee trio . Like really, how could I not? I loved the color palette and knew I wanted a light base. I had the perfect stamping plates, and although these are not stamping polishes, they did the job enough!   I had quite a few images with coffee patterns on it and went with something simple! Must Have Mocha is surprisingly sheer as a stamping polish despite the 2 coat coverage. But it did pop just enough off of Extra Foam Plz! to make it visible! I did some minimal reverse stamping with three of the nails. I wanted to incorporate Caramel Drizzles into the art some how. It is subtle, but I stamped the images and then painted them in with the shimmer polish. I think it adds that special touch! I added matte top coat to everything just because I felt it was more coffee-like.    COFFEE IS ALWAYS A GOOD IDEA! :) These are available now for $11.20 each. This is such a fun trio! Stella Chroma July Polish Pickup: Rewind

  Press Sample   Hi everyone! For July, Polish Pickup does a rewind. This means that makers get to bring back crowd favorites. One color will be in the Polish Pickup shop for the weekend and the other will be in the maker's shop. So let's check out the colors cause they are stunning! I have re-used my original photos since they looked nice to me!   For the scrub offering, Stella Chroma will bring back Spiked Watermelon scrub in her Stella Chroma shop.
