13 Days of Halloween: Candy Corn Halloween Plaid

 I feel like candy corn colors are winning me over this season and I just keep doing Halloween arts in this color way. But come on, it's just so iconic! I loved my autumn plaid nails and wanted to do more plaid for Halloween.


So I have been totally loving plaid nail arts lately, and I wanted to do one with candy corn colors over a black. Did I get excited and maybe do way too many lines so the black base is a bit obscured? Maybe. Do I still love this and get lots of comments? Yes!



Below are the colors that I used for this look. I just wanted the plaid to be creams well the base had some shimmer and flakes. Of course I did so many lines so you could barely see the base color. My bad! 

  • Black base: Stella Chroma Axe Fight
  • Yellow: Jessica Cosmetics Yellow
  • Orange: Jessica Cosmetics Sahara Sun
  • White: KBShimmer White Here White Now

 

I love the sparkle of Axe Fight, my base. I feel like I use it every October and actually, my bottle is like 2/3 empty. It's the perfect black sparkle for me. If you don't have it, you need it.

Takko Lacquer Heart Shaped Box

Nothing to Disclose Today I have a little swatch of Takko Lacquer Heart Shaped Box. This polish came out as a mystery polish around Valentine's Day. I didn't get it then because I'm not into mysteries, but picked it up during her sale last month because, why not? Takko Lacquer Heart Shaped Box Let's talk about this polish. Pink, holo, flakies: I should love it. And I do! But only in the sunlight. In the sun, Heart Shaped Box is a vibrant pink polish with a tiny bit of holo and awesome multichrome flakes that mostly pull black.  Takko Lacquer Heart Shaped Box Here is a close up of the flakes, they really are awesome.  Takko Lacquer Heart Shaped Box Takko Lacquer Heart Shaped Box Here's the polish in the shade where it completely transforms, and maybe not in the best way for my skin tone. 13 Days of Halloween: Halloween Glitter Gradient

  Partial Press Sample Glitter is coming back. I am saying that now. I have been wearing some chunkier glitters lately and forgot how much I loved them, even if I need more elbow grease for removal. I have a ton of gorgeous Halloween glitters that I haven't used in a while, so today is their spotlight!   I feel like glitter might be making a come back so I was really feeling like pulling out some old indie polishes with super chunky glitter. I wanted to mix up some intricate nail art with something that everyone can do such as a basic glitter gradient. Just dab it on and you are good to go. You can't mess it up! I chose to alternate a black and orange cream for a perfectly Halloween look. What can be easier than doing plain colors on your nails. Then I added the glitters to my Tips and let it gradient down with some spots towards the cuticle.
