Valentine's Day Leopard Nail Art

Gambar
Press Sample  Hello everyone! Hope you’ve been enjoying my pin, and red nails for the past week! Well since today is Valentine’s Day, of course, I had to continue my pink nails. Y’all know I love leopard print nails. Well my brain thought why not leopard print with secret hearts? Well, a quick Google search shows I did not invent this đŸ˜‚ but I love that others thought of it. Valentine’s Day Leopard Print with Heart spots!  I wanted classic Valentine’s Day colors  I went back and forth between a red base with pink spots and a pink base with red spots. Ultimately, the pink base won out because I love pastel nails and I wanted a lighter color base. Plus I am wearing a red dress today, so the pink pops! I did three coats of my pink base. It is somewhat neon, so it is pastel but hello! Then I did blobs of the red creme with a few blobby hearts. Lastly, I added the black outline to my spots to make it leopard!  Pink: Zoya Jordan Red: Morgan Taylor Wish Upon a Starbo...

Gradient Hearts Valentine's Day Nail Art

Gambar
Press Sample Are you over my pink and heart-filled manicures? I'm not. I do love pink nails. My brain wanted something with a gradient of hearts. This is not something that came out how I intended, but I still kinda love it! So let's take a look! I knew I wanted three colors of hearts, so I started with a muted red. I also knew I wanted the hearts to be a creme, so I decided on a base with flakes. Mid Level Shear from Stella Chroma has just enough gorgeous pink with iridescent flakes that the creme polishes would pop off of it. This is actually an amazing matte polish and I could not decide if I wanted this look matte, but shiny won out. Here are the colors I used. I went with all pinks and reds! I actually spent way too long looking for the perfect pinks that would pop off the base and not disappear into it. Do you like my choices? Valentine’s Day Waves Nail Art

Gambar
Press Sample  One of the biggest nail trends right now is wavy lines or a squiggle type art. When I received Zoya dazzle, I thought what better way to incorporate them then with some squiggles. Although this is a holiday collection, the colors can be used whenever and some of them were perfect for sweet Valentine’s Day look.  This is really a very simple look. I started with three coats of Zoya Alexis over a ridge filling base coat. Then I used Zoya Palmer which is a light pink cream and Zoya Sophia which is a red shimmer and painted on waves. I used the actual brushes with the nail polish bottle so you don’t need any special tools to create this look. I topped at all with a coat of topcoat.     Seriously, what a fun and random nail art. My nephew took my nails and went whoooaaaaa. I also love that there is no wrong way to do this. Seriously just use the side of the brush and paint squiggles and waves! Valentine’s Day Heart French Manicure

Gambar
Press Sample The Zoya Rose palette is really perfect for all year and it’s especially great for Valentine’s Day manicures since all of the colors are in a red and pink tone. Although I have done art with them already, I wanted to incorporate them into another nail art for Valentine’s Day. I love Zoya creams and they work so well for art.   Typically my nails have a little bit of a almond stiletto book but since I suffered a break they are a bit more rounded now. I still wanted to attempt a French manicure that sort of had a heart shape for the tips. So what I did is I used the four lighter colors and drew a heart type shape on my nails. Because Zoya creams are so opaque, I only needed one coat.   Then I took the next lightest color an outline each heart to give it more definition. I used to small striping brush to do this.   Index: Palmer with Rochelle outline Middle: Marcia with Maggie outline Ring: Maggie with Marcia outline Pinky: Rochelle with Palmer...

Valentine’s Day Hearts Nail Art

Press Sample  I really love pastel polishes so whenever Valentine’s Day comes around, I reach for the pale pinks and whites. I looked back at previous Valentine’s Day manicures on my blog and I really do have a lot. I wanted something easy and classic to kick off some cute and fun looks. I started with a pale pink from Jessica cosmetics since they make such good pastel creams. This one took three coats and it was the perfect shade of pink. Then I added simple white dots and a purple heart to bring it all together. This lock took no time at all but I wore it for a full week because I loved how cute it was.   Colors:  Pink: Jessica Cosmetics Pink Squirrel  Purple: Duri Cosmetics Dream Pop White: KBShimmer White Here, White Now So how do you feel about pastel creams? They are truly a favorite of mine.    Jessica Cosmetics:  SHOP ,  Facebook ,  Instagram ,  Pinterest . Products in the post were provided for honest review.     Ehmka...

Stella Chroma Oh Crikey, February Polish Pickup

Gambar
Press Sample As I mentioned yesterday, Polish Pickup is all about 90s TV for February. There is so much content there! Stella Chroma chose The Crocodile Hunter, Steve Irwin, for inspiration. This was definitely a show I would tune into as a kid. How he interacted with animals was amazing and of course, I was so shocked when he died. This polish totally represents what he loved: Crocodiles! Emulsified Sugar Scrub in Cool Reef : $6.50 for a 2.5 oz jar, no cap. " Our scrub will be scented with our exclusive essential oil blend that smells like Lush's Outback Mate! So cool and refreshing ." I do love this soap from Lush, but bar soap is tight on my skin. So I love that I can have this scent in a super moisturizing sugar scrub! I love these scents for summer. Light and refreshing.   Crikey! : $13 per 15 mL bottle with no cap, and we're donating $1 from each bottle sold to Wildlife Warriors, the conservation charity started by Australia Zoo!   " We basically got...

KBShimmer The Chosen One, February Polish Pickup

Gambar
Press Sample This month's theme is 90s TV! As someone who grew up on 90s TV, this theme is perfect. Of course, everyone is so diverse in their choices and the theme really leads up to have so many fun polishes. KBShimmer is on the reflective polish train, and here's a moody one to fit the theme! Cucumber Melon Hand & Body Scrub: $10, No Cap " Those bath and body stores scented my teen years, but the one scent that dominated was cucumber melon.  The sweet scent of ripe honeydew and watermelon blended perfectly with crisp, cool cucumber for a fresh scent that we layered on with lotions and body sprays.  Our February scrub honors that classic cucumber melon scent.  A soft melon orange is swirled with a pale green, for a scrub that will take you back to the '90s ." I do not think you could be a tween or teenager without going to Bath and Body Works and grabbing some cucumber melon lotion and mist. I know I had it. This scent totally brings me back! It is ...
